New Patient Consultation

Before any treatment can begin it is important that we fully assess and understand your dental and oral health. Therefore at your new patient consultation a full examination will be given. This will include:-

Medical History
X-Rays
Digital Photographs: Inside & Outside The Mouth
Mouth Cancer Screening
Definitive Oral Hygiene Protocol

This information will be used to help us make informed decisions about the treatment plan best suited to you.

Preventative Dentistry

Good dental health starts with a good oral hygiene routine. Regular hygiene appointments, using the right products and tools are essential to maintaining good dental health. Your dentist will discuss your personalised dental health regime with you at your initial consultation, he will then be able to monitor the impact of this at subsequent hygiene appointments, making adjustments or advising on technique if necessary.

Dental Maintenance

Maintenance Dentistry focuses on maintaining and preserving natural tooth and gum tissues.

Bonded Resin / White Fillings

At Synergy Dental Spa in Stoke on Trent we use only white ‘composite’ fillings. These are more aesthetically pleasing than the old amalgam fillings, replacing existing fillings with our white fillings can be a quick and cost effective way of providing a whiter smile (view our work).

Root Canal Therapy

Treatment of irreversibly infected or dead tooth by removal of the pulp, disinfecting and sealing the canals to try and prevent the need for extraction (view our work).

Extractions

When an extraction is absolutely necessary care is taken using atraumatic techniques to try to and preserve as much of the surrounding jaw bone as possible. This will help to minimise post-operative discomfort, shorten healing times and provide a better foundation for any further restoration (view our work).

Plans For Children

Our plans are a great way for ensuring that your child’s oral health is monitored by a private dentist. Your dentist will agree an individual dental plan with you for your child which focuses on preventative dentistry. He will regularly check your child’s teeth for the early signs of decay or any abnormalities that may occur, ensuring that your child’s teeth are treated quickly. Restorative Dentistry

At Synergy Dental Spa our Restorative dentistry services focus on preserving patients natural teeth where this is possible, we offer a range of solutions including:

Crowns

A restoration of the tooth structure which includes reshaping a tooth and reducing its size, then affixing a natural-looking covering, or a crown fabricated in a dental lab. We are increasingly using zirconia and metal free ceramic materials in our crowns. Dental crowns can be used to replace chipped, decayed, broken, misaligned, or discoloured teeth. (view our work)

Onlays and Inlays

Implants

Implants are an increasingly popular option for replacing missing teeth. They are placed in the jawbone rather like the roots of natural teeth.

Implants are an alternative to bridges and partial dentures, if you are a denture wearer and find that your dentures move around a lot, then implants will help anchor your dentures in place.

When teeth are lost the jawbone begins to shrink, implants can greatly slow this process down.

Whilst increasingly popular, implants are not suitable for everyone; you need to be medically suitable and have sufficient thickness of jawbone to accommodate the implant. If not a bone graft may be an option. Your dentist will be able to advise you of the suitability of implants for your needs.

Costs start from £500 for a single implant, excluding abutment and crown or £1,200 inclusive of custom abutment and crown.

Patients will receive a FREE copy of the consultation report including all costs at the end of their initial consultation. This is yours free to take away with you, regardless of whether you opt to proceed to treatment with us or wish to compare our price with other implant services.
